 The purpose of the MoHoBook Exchange is to enable students to both buy and sell books. Students are able to post their used books on this site and add to the inventory.

In order to be a seller, a student must create a profile in Mohopedia using their MHC username.

Buyers can search for a book and use the contact information to set up acceptable price and meet up locations with the seller. All postees will provide designated information about the book as well as their contact information i.e. email address.

After a transaction has been agreed upon, the seller MUST remove their offer from the site. To remove the entire book you must simply click on the edit tab and erase Book Inventory from the bottom of the page. Be sure to press save page at the bottom of the screen. Only erase the page if no offers have been added to your book page. If other offers do exist, remove your personal information ONLY.

MohoBook Exchange gives students the flexibility to design and expand their book postings as well as contacts within the MHC Community.

This site has been created as a group project for Professor Gabriel's Economics of Cyberspace course.

Seven Easy Steps to a Successful MohoBook Experience

1. Search for the book you are looking for using the Find My Book! search engine or browsing through the book inventory.

2. Post a book using the simple instructions provided in the Post a Book link as well as the tutorials on the site.

3. Contact the users whose books you would like to purchase.

4. Agree upon a fair price and exchange locations.

5. Request books you need in the Wish List forum.

6. Remove your offer from a book page when transaction is completed.

7. Use the Instructional Video for basic instructions about the site.

Things to Think About

Remember  in order for everyone to enjoy what the MohoBook exchange has to offer, you must always follow through with your transactions. Be sure that you are both able to meet the negotiated price and meeting time before agreeing to the terms set up between buyer and seller.

Remember we need books to sell as well as purchase on this site. Keep in mind that this site exists through your use, therefore posting as well as purchasing is in the best interest of both YOU and the site!
